Client Platform Framework

CommuniGate Systems developed XIMSS - the XML API Interface for Messaging, Scheduling, and Signaling to allow customers to use CommuniGate Pro as a client platform framework. XIMSS combines access to e-mail, instant messaging and VoIP services. The XIMSS protocol operates using XML-encoded requests and responses over a single TCP connection.

Based on existing RFC drafts XIMSS transforms CommuniGate Pro into a Web application server, allowing providers to extend and develop new light-weight web applications that integrate with CommuniGate Pro.

Pronto! is the first thin client which uses this new protocol. Pronto! ensures a fast return on investment by enabling service providers to add new services like blogging, IP TV and other Rich Media Applications through the client framework, without having to replace or expand their existing infrastructure.
