SIP Proxy

In an IP Communications environment the SIP Proxy handles the signaling condition, state and location of the endpoint. It enables registration of an endpoint (SIP user name) registration and authentication to be able to receive services. The SIP Proxy also stores the IP address of the endpoint information until registration expires or is renewed and determines from account information what services are allowed and if they can be sent to or received from the endpoint. AOR (Address of Record) can have one for each device logged into the account like IM, voice, video and other.
