CommuniGate Systems announces telecommunications carrier selecting the CommuniGate Pro Dynamic Cluster Internet Communications server

Mill Valley, CA (March 28, 2006) - CommuniGate Systems, the leader in scalable carrier-class Internet Communications solutions, today announced that North State Communications has selected and successfully implemented the CommuniGate Pro Internet Communications platform for next generation communication services on a reliable and scalable platform.

North State Communications deployed the CommuniGate Pro Dynamic Cluster on Intel Architecture on Dell servers with Dell/EMC fibre-attached SAN Storage Arrays. The Cluster File System was provided by Polyserve running on RedHat Linux. Prior to final deployment, North State and CommuniGate Systems put the Dynamic Cluster through a series of extreme load tests using the SPECmail and Mstone benchmark tools to ensure the SAN and Cluster File system for peak performance and predictable growth requirements. Cisco switching fabric was used in conjunction with load balancing and bonded IPs to provide a fully-fault tolerant environment for guaranteed VoIP and IMS services. SIP-based communications and voicemail are integrated with BroadSoft's "Broadworks" suite.
