MILL VALLEY, CA (August 28, 2006) - CommuniGate Systems, the leader in scalable, carrier-class Internet Communications solutions, today announced that Versature has chosen its CommuniGate Pro platform as the platform and foundation for its managed IP PBX offering for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

As an established service provider of business-class VoIP, Versature initially developed a premise-based system, which proved to be complex and time-consuming. It also prevented Versature from standardizing its offering to generate value-added revenue for enhanced services. Versature needed to find a scalable solution that would enable it to move to a fully hosted and virtualized PBX model that could scale.

After evaluating multiple solutions, Versature selected CommuniGate Pro to provide a rich and manageable hosted IP PBX system, based on open-standards. As a complete IP Communications platform, CommuniGate Pro enables Versature to offer services beyond SIP-based VoIP, such as email, instant messaging and collaboration packages. CommuniGate Pro allows Versature to develop its own applications for added IP value with the CG/PL language and the XIMSS API provides rapid web/XML interfaces to the platform.
